Making good food last

Maybe you want to have a change away from your ASDA meals or the usual boring meal? Maybe you want to splash out every Friday/Saturday night on something you'll really enjoy?

Takeaway Dinners

Say your going to order a takeawy, well assuming you don't have a large appetite and your local takeaway isn't too stingey with its servings, why don't you think about either ordering some extra or ensuring that you can save a bit for the next day. Takeaway dinners for one can usually be spread out over 2 meals, this may also mean you loose a bit of weight if your not eating as much. You may have it for dinner tonight and save the rest for dinner tomorrow night, or even lunch tomorrow (or breakfast if you wish, pizza from the day before for breakfast mmmmmm). This seems to work best with Chinese and Indian food which can often taste better when kept in the fridge for a day/night and then reheated. However make sure you store left overs well - especially rice. Visit the government website eatwell.gov.uk

Restaurant Meals

Say you and your friends have gone out for a nice meal, maybe its a steak or even a nice pizza. Well any leftovers you have you normally can ask for in a 'doggy bag' this term 'doggy bag' or 'doggie bag' comes from the euphemistic pretense that the food will be given to the diner's pet, rather than eaten by a person. However this is just a nickname and people will not look at you funny if you ask.

Obviously you probably will get a negative response when asking for a doggy bag at a all you can eat buffet, however its worth a try!
